Frequently Asked Questions
What makes PJ Woodlands a sustainable company?
Sustainability and environmental impact are at the core of PJ Woodlands’ mission. Our composite products are made of at least 57% and up to 90% recycled materials, highlighting our commitment to reducing waste and conserving resources. All our products leverage wood from responsible forest management activities such as forest thinning or brush clearing. Additionally, our products utilize recycled plastics, significantly reducing plastic waste and its detrimental effects on the environment. Furthermore, our innovative manufacturing process is designed to generate zero waste, ensuring that every step of our process is environmentally responsible and sustainable.
What industries does PJ Woodlands serve?
PJ Woodlands serves the building materials industry and works primarily with lumber yards, homebuilders, and exterior contractors. The applications for our proprietary product StormBreak® include trim boards for windows and doors, board and batten siding, fascia, baseboards, vehicular bed liners, and commercial shelving.
Why are our composites preferable to traditional wood or plastic for building materials?
In addition to lasting three to four times longer than wood depending on climate and use, our products are created with ethically and environmentally friendly processes that produce no waste, reuse recycled plastics and responsibly harvest wood that would otherwise be worthless. Our signature product StormBreak® addresses a unique requirement by offering a building material that is significantly more durable than natural wood and more cost-effective than plastic. Additionally, it eliminates the shrinkage issues often associated with PVC and other plastics, making it an optimal choice for diverse building applications.
Advantages of Choosing PJ Woodlands Composites
PJ Woodlands is dedicated to providing building materials that stand out for their durability, sustainability, and cost- effectiveness. Our signature product, StormBreak®, exemplifies these qualities, making it a superior choice compared to traditional wood and plastic options.
